Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec was a Post-Impressionist painter, an Art Nouveau illustrator and a remarkable lithographer. He captured the lifestyle of the Parisian bohemian scene at the end of the 19th century and was considered “the soul of Montmartre,” the Parisian district where he lived.

On May 21st, 2026 The Art Deco department will present a piece of Eiffel Tower history: a section of the original spiral staircase dating from 1889, designed under the supervision of Gustave Eiffel (1832-1923). This piece, section no. 1 of the staircase connecting the second and third floors, is estimated at €120,000 - 150,000.
