- One owner from new, sold new in Monaco
- Version with galvanised steel bodywork
- Regularly serviced since new, major recent work
- No reserve
In 1968, the production of the Mini Moke was transferred to Australia. It was first distributed under the Morris Mini Moke name, then Leyland Moke in 1973. Later in 1977, a new “Californian” series was introduced to refresh the model’s image. As evidenced by its original invoice, this particular example was purchased new by its current owner from British Motors in Monte Carlo on the 13th July 1981. Originally white, this Moke was regularly used and serviced, as evidenced by a substantial servicing file. Between 2021 and 2023, it had some major work done: the 998 cc engine was rebuilt, the front axle restored, all 4 brake callipers replaced and the bodywork fully repainted. The upholstery and soft top were also restored. With 4 seats included, this charming Moke is also equipped with a towing bar and has a major advantage: being one of the latest “Californian” versions, it has a galvanised steel bodywork which will make you forget about corrosion issues on other versions. With numerous recent works, an exceptional history and its adventurous look, this Moke will fill you with happiness every summer!
