- No reserve
This is an astonishing car for its history and condition: second-hand, in the same family since 1992, and remarkably well preserved from the start. It was bought new by a Mr. Demichel of Ruynes-en-Margeride (Cantal), and sold on 21st April 1992 (with 36,274 km), through the garage de la Margeride, to the current owner's father. On this occasion, he had a Sodicam alarm system installed and, as he had a company car as part of his job at the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur regional council, he seldom drove this Renault 5 GT Turbo.
On 14th March 2023, as part of his estate, it passed into the hands of his son. He had it completely overhauled, including draining and checking the cooling system.
Thanks to this wonderful story, this Renault 5 GT Turbo is in rare original condition. Some body parts, such as the bonnet, appear to have been repainted, while others, such as the roof panel, seem to have their original, slightly faded paintwork. The interior is entirely original, with only minor wear, which is rare for this model. With its original 57,200 km, this car comes with documents confirming its history, including a copy of the first registration document, the 1992 purchase invoice and the owner's manual. It's rare to come across a Renault 5 GT Turbo in such great condition. Capable of 200 kph, it was one of the most powerful “pocket rockets” of its time, delivering the unique sensations of its turbocharged engine.
