Better known as the Autobianchi Bianchina Panoramica (‘Belvédère’ in France), this charming little estate car was the luxury version of the 500 Giardiniera and was set apart by the elegance of its bodywork.
This example was registered new in the Var, right next to Saint-Tropez, and its first owner kept it until 1993, when its current owner bought it with little more than 20,000 km on the clock. Weathered by the sun of the South of France, the car’s bodywork and upholstery were then restored in Italy. Since then, it has been driven very little, as our client’s wife preferred to use a Fiat 500 on a regular basis, and was showing only 21,491 km when we inspected it. In good running order, it combines the patina of an original and slightly worn car visible in the front luggage compartment and engine bay, with a body in used condition which has remained sound since it was restored, at which time all the seals were replaced. Its elegantly restored blue upholstery gives the car a jaunty appearance which suits it perfectly; the waterproofing of the canvas roof will need to be refurbished, however. Sought after by collectors, this rare Panoramica version with its opening roof will delight enthusiasts thanks to its exceptionally clear history and ease of use. It will be supplied with its original number plates and a copy of its first registration document, along with a file of invoices.
