As stated in Gilles Fournier’s publication dedicated to the brand, the C4 version was an evolution of the CC version, with a longer wheelbase and a 1,004 cc engine, in contrast to the 903 cc of the CC.

This particular car is a rebuild which was carried out by the current owners’ father, using parts from various sources and with the help of a former member of the Cercle Pégase Amilcar. The chassis, which came with a 1934 title bearing the serial number 5382 and mentioning a C4 model, was restored. Engine No. 6227 is indeed a C4 version and was produced in 1924. A water temperature gauge and an additional fan were fitted to avoid overheating. It has a 3-speed gearbox and has been equipped with an elegant two-seater sports bodywork featuring an aluminium bonnet. Everything was carried out with meticulous care and completed in the early 2000s. The car was subsequently used on a few rare occasions before its owner fell ill. It's now been around twenty years since this beautiful Amilcar was last started, but its restoration has retained all its splendour. The engine is not seized and will need to be restarted, whilst a general overhaul will be required. This is an exciting project to get the car back on the road, which will enable its new owner to immerse themselves in the wonderful world of cyclecars and small cars.
