Sold new on 19 January 1999 in Belgium, this car is distinguished by its ‘Grigio Ingrid’ colour, an especially unusual and attractive shade. According to the Ferrari specialist Andreas Birner, whom we consulted, only 36 Ferrari 550s were finished in this exterior colour, 22 of them for Europe, and only four in combination with the beautiful interior in beige leather (A4208) like this example. In addition, in order to protect the leather, the last owner had UV filters applied to the windows. He had the side of the driver’s seat repaired and even bought a complete hide in the colour A4208 to keep as a spare.

As well as these distinctive features, this 550 Maranello has been meticulously maintained, as can be seen from the stamps in the service book, showing that it has been regularly serviced by specialists, often at intervals of less than 10,000 km. Its owner since 2014, who also has other Ferraris, has driven the car regularly whilst making sure that it is running well.

With scarcely more than 85,033 km recorded, the car is in excellent condition today, both outside and in, whether in terms of its seats, dashboard or trim. After the bodywork had been keyed, it had a complete glass-out repaint, carried out by the Carrosserie Hervé, a well-known establishment in southern France. The car is sold with its books and manuals, stored in their special wallet, as well as its tool kit. The timing belt was replaced in December 2024.

Thanks to its 5.5-litre V12 developing 485 bhp, this berlinetta is a member of the very select ‘300 km/h plus club’. With its unusual and elegant mix of colours, it will offer its new keeper a combination of genuine aesthetic pleasure and an unforgettably thrilling drive.
