The current owner of this superb CX, Matthieu Lamoure, was born in Brive-la-Gaillarde, in Correze. So, when he saw the freshly elected President Jacques Chirac (also from Correze) driving through Paris in his CX GTI Turbo II on the 17th May 1995, he decided to search for one himself by following four criteria: 1/ First owner with logbooks 2/ Less than 100,000 km 3/ Equipped with leather and a sunroof. It was after a good ten years of searching that in 2017, arriving at the Epoquauto show on a day when it was being set up, he spotted the roof of a CX with a sunroof from a distance. He hurried over and discovered that this car met all his criteria... victory! He bought it immediately! On that day, this superb CX had only 70,000 km on the clock. It now has 10,000 more after being used several times over eight years for family holidays and various trips.

Purchased new from the Citroen dealership in Saint-Etienne by its first owner and registered in his name on the 20th October 1987, it was rigorously serviced at the brand's workshops, as indicated in its service logbook. It was then acquired in 2017 by its current owner and registered in 2018. Already highly well-equipped as standard, it features four of the five available options: fully functional air conditioning, the extremely rare sunroof with aeronautical-style trim running centrally from the roof lining to the rear seats, black leather upholstery in immaculate condition, an original cassette radio positioned between the two seats, ABS and metallic paint. It comes with its original Citroën kit containing manuals, service logbooks and servicing invoices, the last of which was carried out at Daunat Classique for €3,500. Advertising brochures from that era will also be included. This CX GTI Turbo II is in optimal condition, with a spectacular presentation of the engine bay, bodywork, and interior. Driving it is pure pleasure, with a turbo that immediately propels you towards powerful acceleration, which may surprise other drivers of today's sports saloons cars! Only 5,000 CX GTI Turbo II examples were built out of the million CXs manufactured between 1974 and 1989. So, finding one with all the original options, only two previous owners (the first of whom owned it for 30 years), with a low mileage, and still accompanied by its original manuals and logbooks, is virtually impossible today.
