- Rare fuel-injection version, 3,500 examples
- More than €106,000 in restoration invoices
- Superb presenting and working condition
- No reserve
This particular example is a highly sought-after and rare fuel-injection version, with only 3,500 examples produced (more than double the number of carburettor versions). First registered on the 3rd of April 1973, it was purchased to its first owner in 1976 by the CEO of ‘Plastiques du Val de Loire’ to replace the carburettor version he owned since 1971. Having remained in the same hands ever since, it was purchased in 2014 by an enthusiast who carried out a comprehensive and high-quality restoration, which was completed in 2016. A substantial file of invoices (which we invite prospective buyers to consult and totalling over €106,000) bears witness to the extent of the work carried out. Indeed, the bodywork was stripped down and repainted in an elegant and sober black colour, the upholstery was fully restored in black leather, the roof lining was redone, the engine was stripped down and rebuilt; electrical, hydraulic and cooling systems were also restored. Naturally, the hydropneumatic suspension and DIRAVI steering were restored by specialists. An inspection report carried out in 2016 (included in the file) demonstrates the quality of the work carried out. This superb example, which we have verified is in excellent working order, comes with its original manuals, including the service log stamped up to 1975, invoices dating up to 1983, and the original certificate of conformity. Rarer, more powerful and offering a superior driving experience, the fuel-injected version is highly sought-after today; finding an example that has benefited from so much work is a real bargain – don’t let this opportunity slip away.
