As the original order form confirms, this Porsche 924 Turbo was ordered from Sonauto on 14 April 1980, finished in Diamond silver metallic with a black ‘Pin stripe’ interior and with an optional radio and electric aerial. The sales invoice and service book show that it was delivered on the following 24 June. A car enthusiast who took great care choosing the model that would suit him best, its proud owner used his Porsche very sparingly, to the point that the car had only 19,087 km on the clock in 1996 and has covered just 23,669 km from new today. What happened was that it was laid up in the heated basement of his home in 1997, having been replaced in 1994 by a modern Golf VR6! The remarkable condition of this example can be attributed to its exceptionally low mileage and the meticulous care taken by its owner, which is reflected in its history file: everything has been kept, including the traditional certificate of conformity struck through in red, all the bills from Sonauto and the advertising brochure ... The same attention to detail is to be found in the boot, with a cleaning kit, spare parts, tool kit and the tyre compressor in its Porsche bag ... Recovered from the basement where it was laid up in 1997, this exceptional example will need to be carefully recommissioned and fully serviced before being driven again. It is undoubtedly one of the best preserved original examples available for sale.
