As the result of a collaboration between Caterham Cars and Lola Cars International, the SP/300.R represents one of the most radical creations ever produced by the British manufacturer. Developed exclusively for track use, it combines sophisticated aerodynamics derived from sports prototypes with proven engineering, therefore delivering top-class performance whilst keeping running costs low.

This particular example was delivered new in 2013 to its first owner. It is fitted with a 2-litre supercharged Ford Duratec engine producing over 300 bhp, paired with a six-speed Hewland sequential gearbox. Its original specification includes a limited-slip differential, a dry sump, an FIA-approved fuel tank, AP Racing four-piston brakes, suspension developed by Lola, adjustable racing shock absorbers, an adjustable roll cage and 13-inch wheels fitted for track use. This car also featured several sought-after options from the outset: an all-black livery with specific graphics, a composite seat, an FIA harness, a quick-release fuel tank kit, a fuel system pressurisation system, as well as upgraded front and rear shock absorbers.

After an initial life spent on track days, it was purchased on the 20th of June 2015 from ALR Racing by its current owner. Since then, its servicing has been entrusted to the French specialist Caterham SV Automobiles (invoices are included in the file). Its usage is fully documented, totalling approximately 72 hours of track time at the Le Mans Bugatti, Croix-en-Ternois and Spa-Francorchamps circuits between 2015 and 2021. Major works carried out include the replacement of the bevel gear set for the gearbox as well as the supercharger in 2018.

The car has had a thorough restoration carried out, including a full repaint, replacement of the flat underbody, a full geometry review of the running gear, an engine and gearbox overhaul, as well as a complete service of the braking and clutch systems.
