Just like the 1995 Alcador Roadster, the Alcador GTB was the result of a request from the same client, Ludwig Binder. While it had the same name, derived from the first names of Binder’s three daughters (Aline, Catherine and Dorine), it was radically different from its predecessor, with closed bodywork and less extreme styling; it also had different mechanical underpinnings, still from Ferrari, but this time from a 348 GTB. Exhibited at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, this model was joined the following year by a version based on a 2001 Ferrari 360 Modena F1, displayed at the Geneva Motor Show in 2009. It is this latter model we are offering today.
Its impressive styling featured a flowing front end, spectacular side air intakes and an extremely narrow cabin recalling certain sports prototypes such as the Ferrari 330 P4. It differed from the first version in having small air intakes at the front, beneath the headlamps.
Two other Alcadors were produced, a grey LO GT based on a Testarossa (2009 Geneva Motor Show), and a red GTC (2018 Geneva Motor Show), bringing the total to four cars.
The first owner of this superb berlinetta was Ludwig Binder, and in 2014 a bill for 6300 € refers to work on the transmission. The Alcador GTB was then sold in 2020 to another German enthusiast, in Bad Neuenahr, before Fritz Neuser bought it in 2023. Originally blue, at some point it was repainted in red, and this is how it is presented today; it is in excellent condition, with a lovely interior featuring special white and blue upholstery. The car is registered in Germany with the date of first registration given as 2001 and the chassis number of the Ferrari donor car, but as a Sbarro Alcador GTB.
While offering the very high performance of a Ferrari 360 Modena, this car has all the appeal of a radically-styled special model. Admired by everyone, it will be enthusiastically welcomed at a wide range of historic events.
We invite potential bidders to contact the relevant authorities in the country of destination to find out about the possibilities for registering this unique vehicle.
