- Sold new in France, 3 owners from new
- Fabulous original condition, hard top in its original crate
- Logbooks, tools, original documentation included
This 190 SL is simply one of the most original examples in existence. Its exceptionally well-preserved condition is the result of a flawless history: sold new in France, it was ordered by Mr. Laboudi of Cahors in black with beige leather interior, an optional 3rd seat and a hard top delivered in a wooden crate. First registered on the 16th April 1959, it was used with great care before being sold to a friend in 1982 who also resided in the Lot region. It remained in the hands of the same family until 2016, when the current owner acquired it at auction. As a genuine enthusiast, he was captivated by the car’s exceptional original condition, with much of the bodywork retaining its original paint. The upholstery is also original and displays a remarkable patina; the matching soft top was also restored. Regularly serviced, the car is in excellent working order and has an original mileage of less than 88,800 km. Bearing witness to the meticulous care it has received for more than 65 years, this example still includes its hard top (with the small rear window) in its original delivery crate, its owner’s manuals including the service logbook completed up to 1982, the original red-crossed production sheet bearing the name of the first owner and its original tool kit; not to mention the jack and its crank. We have never encountered such a well-preserved 190 SL. This is a unique example with a clear and documented history, a true museum piece ready to be driven.
