This chassis was owned by a classic car enthusiast from Pyrenees-Atlantiques, who then sold it to the renowned collector and dealer Jean-Francois Dumontant; its current owner acquired it from the latter in 1996. Fitted with an overhead camshaft engine, this is a highly desirable “3-litre Sport” version with certainly one of the most beautiful chassis from the manufacturer, It has also known great success, as this model was very successful in racing and won the first 2 places in the 1st edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1923. This particular example features a 3.07 m wheelbase, identical to versions used in racing. Equipped with its superb engine, gearbox, axle and running gear components, radiator, headlights, the upper part of the bonnet, dashboard (to be completed) and five wheels, this chassis commands admiration and the inclination of its steering column leave no doubt as to the sporting vocation of this machine. A large file of documentation is included, as well as a superb period brochure on the servicing and lubrication of “3-Litre Sport” engines, together with original price lists.

This is a unique opportunity to revive one of the most amazing bodyworks that once adorned the chassis of a truly iconic model. With its Le Mans bodywork style, it would be an exceptional entry point to the Le Mans Classic event.

Please note that we were unable to identify the chassis number.
