- Owned by Régis Laspalès for 30 years
- Older restoration with lovely patina
- Recommissioned and brakes overhauled in 2025
- No reserve
It was at the end of 1994 that the French actor and comedian Régis Laspalès fell for this superb Simca 8 Sport Cabriolet, which he discovered in a garage on the avenue Rapp in Paris: “It was surrounded by more prestigious Ferraris, Aston Martins and Jaguars, but I was won over at once by its elegance ...” Indeed, how could anyone fail to be moved by the beauty of Pinin Farina’s design, inspired by the Cisitalia 202? Its previous owner since 1982, also a man of taste, was none other than the artistic director of the Chanel perfume house. The car was used a few years later for the poster of a show by Chevalier and Laspalès, but was driven very little for want of time. In 2013, it was serviced; the starter was reconditioned, and the tyres and battery were changed. It has just been recommissioned again and the braking system was completely overhauled in July 2025. Protected by a tailored cover, the body – which was repainted in the past – has a subtle patina which goes beautifully with that of the red leather upholstery. A rare and interesting example from the first year of production, it therefore has the superb dashboard with a central speedometer and the rear lights specific to that version. This true collector’s item will capture the attention of connoisseurs and lovers of beauty alike.
Please note that the car is sold without technical inspection. Please note that the car does not come with door keys.
