- Equipped with its original 289 V8 engine
- Tom Bronco 5-speed kit
- Quality bare-metal restoration
Launched in 1966, the Ford Bronco's robust design has seen it through the years without major modifications, which explains its success and popularity. Its skill over difficult terrain, the availability of parts, its compact size - everything was there to compete valiantly with the Jeep.
This example was imported from California and restored to a high-quality in France between 2019 and 2022, with no expense spared. Bills show more than €16,000 of spare parts supplied by specialist website Pony Classic, and over 800 hours of work. Everything was sandblasted before painting, and the chassis, suspension and transmission were epoxy-painted to guarantee longevity. The Clearwater Aqua paintwork is attractive, as is the parchment-coloured interior, which has seen the addition of a useful rear bench seat (5-seat registration). Its 289 ci V8 engine block is original, completely reconditioned and fitted with a 5-speed gearbox (Tom Bronco kit). Electronic ignition, new wiring and front disc brakes make it easier and more reliable to use.
This Bronco is the ideal car for heading into the hinterland or getting to remotest beaches. Pull down the hard top and the windshield, and you’ll have the perfect summer vehicle!
