A symbol of the 1960s and 1970s, the Moke designed by BMC on the basis of a Mini was not retained by the British army for whom it was intended, and became a fashionable car both in swinging London and on the beaches of the Côte d'Azur. Its appearance in the film You Only Live Twice alongside James Bond and in the series The Prisoner definitely made the car a legend, and it is a particularly coveted model today.

In the early 1980s, production was transferred to a British Leyland factory in Portugal, and that's where the Mini Moke we're offering came from, purchased in 2020 from a professional in Sainte-Maxime, in the Var. Its owner, who has a residence in Saint-Tropez, has only travelled a few dozen kilometres between the Place des Lices, her home, and the Plage des Canoubiers beach. In 2023, BJ Restaure, a specialist garage in Bormes, carried out major mechanical work, including overhauling the engine and brakes and fitting new tyres, at a total cost of €6,000. Since then, the car has covered just 30 km, with the odometer now showing 57,670 km. With its two-seater registration and tried-and-tested mechanics, this car is in beautiful condition, and comes complete with its soft top and full side protection. A fun, agile car for the beach, for leisure driving, or for in the city, this Moke is at home in any situation!
