- American police motorcycle, registered in France
- Recently restored
- Special equipment
- No reserve
The bike was bought by its current owner in 1994 from a friend who imported it, still registered, from the USA. It was entrusted to a specialist garage in Cachan, where it was fully restored: frame repainted, engine rebuilt, all parts checked or rebuilt and reassembled as original. Only the rear-mounted radio has been replaced by a pillion seat to accommodate a passenger, but the original stickers in the saddlebag lids are still there. Once the bike had been restored, the owner presented it to the authorities at Montlhéry to get it individually approved and obtain French registration, which was issued in 1995.
The owner then used this Kawasaki 1000 Police for about five years around Paris, before taking it to Saint-Tropez where he has a second home. Little used, it was entrusted every winter to the local dealer to be properly stored.
In January 2024, the owner brought it back to Paris to restore it (bills totaling almost 6,000 euros for the extensive work carried out) and use it on a daily basis. With traffic in Paris becoming more difficult for this type of bike, he has decided to part with it, giving any enthusiast the unique opportunity to acquire a Kawasaki used by the American police with some of its original equipment, registered in France, with 34 423 km and just recently restored. A guarantee of originality, with a comfortable, high-performance machine that's still right up to date.
