According to the identification certificate issued by Porsche, this car was first registered on 1 July 1973. Made in Germany, it was then exported to the United States before returning to Europe and being purchased by the current Monegasque enthusiast. This car is distinguished by its original 'Sepia Brown' colour, which was only available for a very short period, for the 1972-1973 vintages. It was in beautiful original condition and, according to our seller, its odometer, which read 32,097 miles, reflected the distance travelled since new. It was in this configuration that it underwent a major mechanical and cosmetic overhaul in 2023. More than €40,000 worth of invoices were drawn up for work carried out in a Barcelona-based workshop specialising in Porsche: Julia 911. The gearbox has been redone and the shock absorbers and exhaust are new. The car is superb and the bodywork has been repainted – the car perfectly showcased in its original colour, with its small bumpers (replaced the following year by larger ones according to the American standards) and its Fuchs rims. The interior is just as attractive, with its houndstooth fabric and leatherette seats, well-fitted carpets, a wooden steering wheel, and five round dials lined up around the large rev counter. The odemeter showing the speed in miles has been replaced by a km/h counter, to which the existing mileage has been transferred. A modern Porsche Classic radio with Bluetooth and integrated GPS has been added.

Mechanically, the car is equipped with the original 2.4-litre air-cooled flat-6 engine with its distinctive sound, which has been refurbished.

It's rare to come across a Porsche 911 from this era in such beautiful condition and that remains so faithful to its original features. With all the purity of the original design and driving sensations that are neither filtered by assistance systems nor hampered by excessive weight, it recaptures the very essence of the 911 and the personality that would become the stuff of legend.
