The open-top Jaguar XK150 came in two body styles: “Drophead Coupe” (DHC, or cabriolet), and “Open Two Seater” (OTS, or roadster). This is the second of the two.

After it left the factory, the car was shipped to the United States, where Jaguar Cars New York sold it new to Mr. Charles Counts. Between 2014 and 2016, it underwent a complete restoration of the highest quality, documented by an extensive photographic file. Its current owner, a passionate collector from Monaco, bought it in 2019, attracted by its superb condition. As it had been hardly driven since restored, the car was entrusted to a workshop where it was fine-tuned, for peace of mind. Since then, it has been regularly mechanically serviced.

This car comes with a certificate from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust attesting that the chassis and engine are original, along with numerous photos and invoices of the restoration process. An appraisal in September 2024 describes it as being in “very good condition”, with no specific defects. The bodywork is well aligned, the “Carmen Red” paintwork is beautiful and the black upholstery with red piping is superbly finished. An electric fan has been added to cool the 3.4-litre 6-cylinder engine more efficiently. A new hood and tonneau cover complete the equipment, which also includes a tool kit. This is a very fine example of an iconic model from the Jaguar range of the 1950s, the ultimate car in the fabulous XK series.
