- Highly exclusive model, limited to 1,963 examples for the 60th anniversary of the 911

Naturally, Porsche could not let the 60th anniversary of the 911 go by without releasing a special edition: the 911 S/T, a limited series of 1,963 examples, a nod to the year this best-seller was born. This new machine was inspired by the 911 ST of 1969/1970, a lightweight version of the 911 S built for racing and known for winning the 1970 Monte Carlo Rally with Bjorn Waldegard and Lars Helmer.

The new 911 S/T was therefore developed by Porsche engineers who had the same objective in mind: a lighter and more radical version of the sportiest 911 from the 992 series. As a result, it has a GT3 RS engine - a naturally aspirated 4-litre 6-cylinder engine developing 525 hp at 8,500 rpm, combined with a manual transmission (instead of the PDK of the GT3 RS) and a lighter bodywork. The latter comes from the GT3, which is narrower than the RS and features a bonnet, wings and doors all in carbon, as well as thinner windows. On board, the Sport Plus bucket seats are standard and even the carpets are lighter. It is also equipped with magnesium wheels and PCCB ceramic brakes. In a further effort to reduce weight, the rear-wheel steering system was eliminated, in order to prioritise the car’s agility and driving pleasure instead of pure speed. In fact, the top speed has been limited to 300 km/h… which is more than enough by any standard! The car weighs 1,390 kg in total (dry weight), 73 kg less than the 992 GT3.

As with all Porsche’s most exclusive limited editions, all examples were quickly sold and only the brand’s most loyal customers were eligible. This is the case for the current owner of this car, who has an impressive Porsche collection. It was invoiced to him on the 24th June 2024 and bears the registration number 262/1963. This car was sold with several desirable options: Aetna Blue “Paint to Sample” bodywork colour (code 89) reminiscent of the sky blue colour of the first Porsche 356 models, a “Heritage Design Pack 60 Years 911” interior, a 90-litre fuel tank, a front axle lift system, body-coloured exterior mirror, tinted LED matrix headlights with Porsche Dy, a Chrono pack, exclusive Design taillights, a Bose surround sound audio system, custom-made aluminum door sill trims, a reverse camera, a Design light pack and tinted windows. Including the malus tax and French registration, the total price was €419,132.

Additionally, the buyer also bought himself a Porsche Design watch, specifically made for the occasion and inspired by the first Chronograph 1 created in 1972 by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche. With its tachometer-style bezel and black dial reminiscent of the car’s instruments, this stunning creation is also limited to 1,963 pieces and bears the same serial number as the car, 262/1963. It comes with a certificate, a special presentation box and two replacement straps.

With a mileage of only 197 km from new, this rare and exclusive is pretty much new. With its stunning exterior colour, carbon bucket seats trimmed in Havana light brown leather and Alcantara, extensive options and matching-numbered commemorative chronograph, it is clearly one of the most desirable 911 models. On the road or on the track, it represents the ultimate version of the 992 series, offering pure driving pleasure that Porsche enthusiasts will immediately recognise and appreciate.

Impact on VAT :

As the vehicle has been driven less than 6,000 kilometers, it can be considered “as new” for VAT purposes in certain European countries. Please contact your local tax authorities for confirmation prior to purchase. For a French buyer, a VAT of 20% will be charged on the hammer price and the premium.
