It was above all his passion for design that led Régis Laspalès to buy this Chevrolet Corvette, with its lines inspired by the iconic Coca-Cola bottle. “It looks like something straight out of a comic book,” he enthuses. This 1981 C3, from the Saint Louis factories, is not lacking in allure, and the comedian bought it from a neighbor in Burgundy in 2015. The car had spent a long time in England, as evidenced by a file of invoices. As soon as it was bought in 2015, it got a general service, including replacement tyres and full exhaust system. In 2023, after sparse use, the car was serviced again: the brake calipers and master cylinder replaced, the gearbox checked and its filter replaced, and the electrical and cooling systems checked. Previously repainted, this Corvette is in good used condition, its cream paintwork blending perfectly with the beautiful red interior in original condition, set off by the ingenious glass T-Top. With 80,262 miles on the odometer when we saw it, this Corvette with an extra wheel promises great drives, to the cavernous sound of the V8, in a moving sculpture that has left its mark on design history.
