- Same owner for the last 40 years
- Only known example
- Exceptional condition
As its build sheet confirms, chassis 121504 was delivered on 20th March 1951 to the Figoni et Falaschi body shop in Boulogne. The chassis, fitted with a powerful 2.7L 4-cylinder engine and a Wilson pre-selective gearbox. It had a superb coach body, with an elegant and modern design, complete with a sunroof. Navy blue with a red leather interior, the Talbot boasted the exceptional craftsmanship typical of great coachbuilders, and was delivered to its first owner on 31st July 1951. An old photo donated by the Talbot Club shows the car at this time, probably at a Concours d’Élégance. The car was registered in Paris in 1979, and in 1985, its current owner bought it at an auction at the Musée de l'Automobile in Reims. The elegant coach was already in superbly preserved original condition, and has been driven very little since new. It has since been repainted white, retains its original upholstery and the carpets have been replaced. We were able to test its original engine which is running well, as is the Wilson gearbox. The odometer displays 41 839km, most likely the original mileage. It's rare to find such a piece, the only one of its kind known, with all its original accessories and specific details, testifying to know-how that disappeared in the 1950s: custom automobiles.
