Vers 1860, Jacques Caillot, fils de Pierre Caillot, s’associe à son beau-frère Victor Prosper Peck pour fonder la maison Caillot & Peck. L’atelier se distingue rapidement par un style emblématique du goût du Second Empire. En 1878, grâce à une collaboration fructueuse avec les frères Guillemin, la maison obtient la médaille d’or à l’Exposition universelle de Paris. L’atelier est ensuite repris par Jean Griffeuilhe en 1889, puis par René Boivin en 1892.

Around 1860, Jacques Caillot, son of Pierre Caillot, joined forces with his brother-in-law Victor Prosper Peck, to found Caillot & Peck. The workshop quickly made a name for itself with a style emblematic of Second Empire taste. In 1878, thanks to a fruitful collaboration with the Guillemin brothers, the firm was awarded the gold medal at the Paris World’s Fair. The workshop was subsequently taken over by Jean Griffeuilhe in 1889, and then by René Boivin in 1892.
