La mécanique est identique à la 365 GTC/4, sortie un an plus tôt, hormis l'empattement qui a été rallongé de 20 cm. Son dessin est dû au dessin prodigieux de Pininfarina. Elle est le tout premier modèle d'une longue lignée très demandée chez Ferrari dont la production s'achève avec la 412 en 1989. La voiture présentée est superbe à tous les niveaux. Vendue neuve par le concessionnaire Ferrari de Bologne, elle est livrée à son premier propriétaire en avril 1974. Elle passe entre les mains de six propriétaires en tout, avant d'être acquise par le propriétaire actuel, un concessionnaire Ford, grand amateur d'italiennes, il y a deux ans. Elle sortait alors d'une restauration quasi-complète. Il suffit de la mettre sur un pont (photos disponibles) pour constater l'état remarquable du châssis et des soubassements. Sa couleur extérieure, Azzuro Hyperion, intérieur en cuir noir est des plus désirables et lui offre une élégance encore plus présente. L'intérieur est en très bon état que ce soit les cuirs et les moquettes. Ce modèle offre la plus grande habitabilité intérieure jamais vue dans une Ferrari, permettant à quatre adultes d'y voyager dans un grand confort.
