French-made racing prototypes are certainly not a common sight, whether on the street or on the track. Yet this is precisely what four engineers created in their workshop in Valence, in the Drôme region. From 1968 onwards, their single-seaters performed brilliantly in the Coupe de France, which caught the eye of Maurice Trintignant who became their sponsor and to whom we owe the ‘MT’ model designation. Proud of this success, the logical next step was to develop various categories of racing cars, including prototypes. This particular MT14B was completely restored in the specialist workshops of the O-One tuning company. Photos in the file clearly demonstrate the superb work carried out. Nothing was left to chance and just five years ago, the entire car was rebuilt from the chassis up. After a few races in the French Historic Circuit Championship, its owner had to stop racing due to health reasons. A final test drive last year confirmed that the car was ready to race, following a routine service, replacement of consumables and an update to the safety equipment. Powered by a BMW M10 engine producing around 200bhp for just 573 kg, this Grac is sure to give its future driver plenty of enjoyment, whilst the current owner already misses the sensation of ‘flying’ around the track! Four wheels will be provided with the car.
