A Louis XIV style gilt-brass mounted, tortoiseshell, brass, tin inlaid and ebony mantel clock

CONDITION REPORT :

Fair overall condition. Wears to the gilding which is tarnished and rubbed in places. Some traces of shrinkage cracks to the tortoiseshell's veneer. One loss to the tortoiseshell inlay decorating the front of the mantel clock and one loss to the ebonised moulding decorating the upper right hand side of the clock.

Some traces of uplifting to the gilt-brass inlays as well as to tortoiseshell's veneer. The glass panel decorating the right hand side area is detached and ould need to be consolidated. Fitted with the key and pendulum. Please note that we do not guarantee the working order of the movement. Charming piece. Ready to be used.
