A pair of Regence style gilt bronze firedogs

CONDITION REPORT :

Good overall condition despite the inevitable wears and marks in accordance with age and use. Wears to the gilding which is tarnished throughout. The flower-shaped ornament decorating the upper area of the right hand side upright of one of the firedogs is slightly wobbly and would benefit from strengthening. One fire crack accident to the left hand side eye of one of the two sphinx. Both firedogs are fitted with firebars. Charming and decorative model.
