A Louis XVI carved beechwood mobilier de salon including one sofa and four armchairs

CONDITION REPORT :

Good overall condition despite the inevitable losses and marks in accordance with age and use. Firm and sound construction. The furniture set has been entirely stripped off and was probably previously painted. The seatrail has been reinforced by means of seat blocks on one of the four armchairs. Trace of previous accidents and restorations to the front seatrail of another armchair. Some normal shocks to the carving in exposed areas, as expected. Traces of restorations to the rear area of the seatrail of the sofa. Some traces of woodworms in places. Wears, stains and tears to the upholstery (notably of the sofa) which would benefit from replacement.
