A Napoleon III gilt-bronze mounted and crystal liquor casket

CONDITION REPORT :

Good overall condition despite the inevitable wears and marks in accordance with age and use. Wears to the gilding, which is tarnished throughout. The hold is wobbly and requires fixing. The twisted gilt-bronze rod decorating the inside of the case is wobbly and would benefit from strengthening. The necks of three carafes are damaged (chips and cracks), and one has been restored. The brass stoppers on the carafes are tarnished. Wears to the gilding decorating the rim of the glasses as well as the carafes. The monograms decorating the three carafes are identical to those on seven stemmed glasses, while the other seven feature a different monogram. One glass and the padlock are missing.
