This car was purchased on the 29th October 2016 by its current owner, a car enthusiast from Touraine with a passion for British cars, who has always taken meticulous care of his vehicles and was captivated by this car’s exceptional original condition. Bearing the name ‘Royal-Élysées’ (an importer in Paris), its chassis plate confirms that it was sold new in France, where it has clearly spent its entire life in excellent hands.
Since 2016, its owner has spent over €14,000 on work carried out by the Tessier garage in Tours to ensure that this Jaguar 420 remains impeccable in both looks and performance, including the overhaul of the front and rear suspension, the braking system and the rear axle (bevel gear).
As a result, it is now in a remarkable condition, with a bodywork that has likely been repainted just once in its beautiful sand colour, as well as impeccably preserved panels as evidenced by the engine compartment and the boot, where the original spare wheel and jack are located. The interior features extremely well-preserved cognac-coloured leather upholstery, with comfortable seats and a wooden dashboard that exude luxury and comfort. An original car radio completes the interior of this car with automatic transmission.
With its distinguished 6-cylinder engine, distinguished design and luxurious finish, this Jaguar 420 is in exceptional condition, enabling you to fully appreciate the comfort and driving pleasure of one of the most prestigious British saloon cars of its era.
