With only three previous owners and just over 16,000km from new, this Ferrari 575 Superamerica is in virtually new condition. It is a sought-after version with the HGTC (Handling Gran Turismo Competizione) package, comprising special suspension, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, a titanium sports exhaust, special 19in wheels and a recalibrated transmission for faster gearchanges. These features make it an exceptional car to drive and are combined with a very classy appearance. This particular example is finished in a very deep ‘Nero N/B Fer 1250’, which goes perfectly with its carbon-fibre roof. Not only does this have the ‘Revocromico’ (electrochromic) system, making it possible to change the degree of tint of the glass, but it also rotates at the rear to allow open-air driving, using a system developed by Leonardo Fioravanti. The specification of the interior is equally impressive: fully trimmed in cognac-coloured leather, it has beautiful Daytona-type seats and carbon-fibre door sills.
With no shields on the wings, this Superamerica is set apart by its extremely pure Pininfarina design. Under the bonnet lurks the naturally-aspirated 540bhp V12, capable of taking it to a top speed of 320km/h. To these remarkable qualities should be added its exceptional rarity, as only 559 examples of the 575 Superamerica were built. The car presented here is undoubtedly one of the most desirable and best preserved in the series.
