The Triumph Bonneville T100 is a classic British motorcycle with a retro look inspired by the 1960s. It is fitted with an inline twin-cylinder 865 cc engine that delivers around 67 horsepower. The T100 is a user-friendly and versatile motorcycle, suitable for both urban and long-distance rides.
In 2012, Johnny Hallyday visited the Harley-Davidson and Triumph dealership in Saint-Cloud, owned by his friend Pierre-Yves Rousset; while he was there, he ordered this Triumph, so he could move around during the filming of Claude Lelouch's film ‘Salaud, on t'aime’ (We Love You, You Bastard). The singer and actor requested a special handlebar, the same as the one he had on his Bonneville when he was younger; he also wanted it to be completely black. Johnny used this motorcycle to get around in the village of Praz-sur-Arly in Haute-Savoie between the 13th and 18th of January and between the 4th and 28th of July 2013. The Triumph can also be seen in the film. In 2014, Johnny returned to his friend and dealer (noticing that his bike was lacking a little bit of power) and spotted a Harley-Davidson Slim. He purchased the latter immediately and traded in his Triumph. The Harley is the one included in this auction sale and is the successor to the T100 in the history of Johnny's motorcycles. Since then, it has never left the dealership in Saint-Cloud. It is in ready-to-ride condition, with only a few thousand kilometres on the clock.
There are far fewer Triumph examples that belonged to Johnny than Harley ones. For all enthusiasts of British motorcycles and fans of the singer and actor, this is therefore a very rare, almost once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
