As the company was in the habit of doing, the Clio Grand Tour was a concept car prefiguring the future production Clio 3 and Clio 4 Estates.

Based on the Clio 3, a special feature of the Grand Tour Concept was that it had only two side doors, giving it a particularly dynamic look missing from the production models. The ‘Comet Gold’ paintwork contributes to the car's sporty appearance, an impression heightened by the twin exhaust tailpipes, special wheels and interior layout with four attractively-shaped bucket seats. The interior is bathed in light thanks to the roof made entirely of glass, while the dashboard features a large screen and multimedia set-up, with a Samsung screen integrated into each front seat backrest for use by the rear-seat passengers. Finished to a high standard, the interior is rounded off by the loading deck with its very attractive brushed aluminium strips. Renault promoted the car as having a 200bhp 4-cylinder 2-litre engine, confirming the sporty character it wished to confer on this particularly attractive model.

Unregistrable for road use, this Clio Grand Tour is the concept car displayed at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. When it entered the collection in 2008, it was dynamic, even though it had been built solely for display purposes.
