- Stunning original Rubystone 82N colour
- Well preserved car, original engine
- Stamped service logbook, 84,000 km
- Extremely rare and sporty version
This Carrera RS is sure to attract any enthusiast’s attention: its original “Sternrubin” or “rubystone red” colour (code 82N) is as rare as it is iconic of the brand and the model, since it was in this livery that the 964 RS was introduced by Porsche on their stand at the 1990 Paris Motor Show.
In this rare RS version, this car features seats with a combination of black leather sides and three-tone red and purple bases – details that truly set this car apart from other examples in the series. The “Carrera RS” inscription is featured at the back of the passenger compartment, in the same colour as the bodywork.
Initially intended for the German market, this car was later exported to the United Kingdom and has spent the last few years in Reggio Emilia (Italy), as evidenced by its service logbook which has been regularly stamped by various specialists. It is fitted with its original engine and now has a mileage of 84,000 km on the clock.
The Carrera RS is a highly desirable version of the Porsche 964. Thanks to thinner windows, lighter doors and bonnet, special wiring and a more conservative soundproofing, it weighs 160 kg less than the standard Carrera 2. The benefit of this weight reduction enables the driver to enjoy the full potential of its 3.6-litre 6-cylinder engine, linked to an excellent five-speed manual transmission and two-wheel drive. Just over 2,500 examples of this special version were produced.
Accompanied by its service logbook and a Porsche certificate of authenticity, this well-preserved car in its rare livery is a great opportunity to acquire a rare version with a strong sporty character.
