Based on the Porsche 997 Carrera S, the 911 Sport Classic unveiled in 2009 is a tribute to the fabulous 2.7 RS from 1973. Mechanically, it is equipped with a naturally-aspirated 3.8-litre flat-six that produces 408 bhp, and a 6-speed manual gearbox. It also features carbo-ceramic brakes and improved suspension. Aesthetically, it combines the styling of the 997 with the style codes of the Carrera RS, resulting in one of the most attractive Porsches of the modern era: wider rear wings, 19-inch wheels, a new rear bumper, and the must-have 'ducktail' spoiler. The 250 units in this limited edition series come in "Sport Classic Grey", with "Espresso" leather upholstery enhanced by houndstooth fabric inserts.
The car on display here is number 193 and was sold new to its current owner in September 2010 by the Centre Porsche Fréjus. Initially registered under his company’s name, it was later transferred to a personal name, making this Porsche a one-owner from new example. Used sparingly, the car was serviced at Porsche Fréjus in December 2020 having covered a distance of 7,847 km (invoice on file), and had clocked up 8,068 km at the time of our examination. An appraisal carried out in 2022 also completes the dossier on this superb Porsche, which will attract the interest of the model's greatest collectors. Indeed, examples still in the hands of their first owner, with such a low mileage and in such a good state of preservation, are becoming a challenge to find.
