- 5-speed gearbox and 4 disc brakes
- Extensive maintenance file
- Uniform patina
This is an interesting left-hand drive version of the Jaguar XK 150 convertible, which rolled off the production line on 10th November 1958 headed for the United States, where it was sold by Jaguar New York on 28th November 1958 to a certain R.S. Thompson. Its Jaguar Heritage certificate confirms that it was delivered new in cream, with a Borg Warner gearbox. This beautiful XK was imported to France in the early 1990s and fully restored. It kept its original colour which blends nicely with a handsome blue leather interior with matching carpets and soft top, all set off by chrome-plated wire wheels. To make the most of the car's capabilities, a Tremec 5-speed manual gearbox was fitted, and disc brakes replaced the rear drums. The milometer was also replaced by a speedometer in kph, and bucket seats offering better support were installed. Its previous owner, a member of the Amicale Jaguar de France, kept it for 7 years, before selling it to its current owner in 2017 at an Artcurial Motorcars sale in Monaco. The car comes with a comprehensive file, detailing the regular servicing it has undergone. With a uniform patina, it is in good working order, and we were able to test how well it runs. With a greater level of comfort than the roadster thanks to better protection, this elegant convertible is the ideal ride for long trips enhanced by the performance of the brilliant XK engine.
