- 47,500 km from new

Presented in April 2000 at Brands Hatch, alongside the Lotus Sport Elise championship, the Exige was a direct descendant of the Sport Elise, in other words, a barely refined racing car. This example is exceptional as it is one of only nine sold new in France, among the 251 left-hand drive cars built. Finished in ‘New Aluminium’ with a blue Alcantara interior, it has the desirable bucket seats identical to those in the 340R, as well as the rare air-conditioning. Its current owner bought the car, which had been registered new eight months earlier, in August 2001, when it was reputedly owned by a Lotus mechanic who had driven it for 25,000 km. Since then, the Lotus has been carefully used and has now covered a total of 47,500 km. The paint is original, except for the roof, which has been resprayed, and the interior is in remarkably well preserved condition. The engine has been regularly maintained and at the last service, in 2024, the timing belt, spark plugs, filters and fluids were replaced. The tyres are unworn, but date from 2004. Complete with the document wallet containing all its books, this extremely rare Exige is in simply exceptional condition; spared the rigours of competition, it has been looked after by a considerate and knowledgeable owner for the past 23 years.
