CONDITION REPORT :
Good overall condition despite the inevitable losses and marks in accordance with age and use. Some accidents and losses to the drape-shaped ornament decorating the top of the two torchères. Some vertical splits and traces of previous old restorations to the drapes-shaped top. Losses to the gilt decoration in places, notably to the face and the right hand side should of one of the two Blackamoor. Some scattered shocks and losses to the basis of both torchères. Firm and sound construction for one of the two. Two vertical splits to the rear area of the faux-porphyry painted basis of the other resulting in the torchère being slightly wobbly once you pull it. Some tiny accidents and losses to the carving of the paw-shaped feet. One element missing from the left hand side hand of one of the two blackamoors. Elegant and highly decorative pieces.
