Monaco Sculptures
 

Following the first two sales in 2019 and 2021, Monaco Sculptures returns this summer for a third session. This year, the sale will comprise an exclusive selection of sculptures by leading artists from the 20^th and 21^st centuries such as Wang Keping, Bernar Venet, Christian Lapie, Philippe Hiquily, Baltasar Lobo, César, Arman and Marino Marini.

This cultural event will take place until the end of July, in the famous locations of La Société des Bains de Mer and Les Jardins de Monte-Carlo. An open-air museum takes place in Monte-Carlo, from the gardens of Petite Afrique to the Saint-James, from Beaumarchais Square to the Hotel de Paris, the Hermitage and the Monte-Carlo Beach.

“For the third edition, Monaco Sculptures will focus on sculpture of the Mediterranean. Anachar Basbous and Choukini from Lebanon and Yves Dana originally from Egypt, are just some of the names we are presenting in this new sculpture walk around the Principality. Added to this are the “Mediterraneans” from the Côte d’Azur: Arman, César, Claude Gilli, Sosno... One of the stars will be an exceptional compression by César coming from the collection of Edmonde Charles-Roux, another great figure in the world of Mediterranean art”, says Martin Guesnet, International Senior Advisor at Artcurial.

All the sculptures will be auctioned on July 20^th at 6pm in the salons of the Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo. Artcurial will present a lot of 5 wind roses by Eva Dmitrenko and Céline Pagès to the benefit of the Monegasque Red Cross in favor of Ukraine.
