On May 27th and 28th, 2025, the Art Deco/Design, Italian Design, and Scandinavian Design auctions totalled over €3.5M. The first session featured 60 previously unseen lots from the estate of textile artist Simone Prouvé, offering an intimate journey through three generations of the Prouvé family. This collection achieved over €1M, with 100% of lots sold.
Jean Prouvé (1901-1984)
Sideboard “tout aluminium n. 151”, model designed circa 1951–1952
Sold for €295,200
Among the standout results, the “tout aluminium n. 151” sideboard by Jean Prouvé, a leading post-war design figure, fetched €295,200. An intimate portrait of Jean Prouvé by his father, Victor Prouvé, a key figure of the Art Nouveau movement, painted on the eve of Jean’s military departure, also found a buyer at €2,362.

Sold for €31,488
Panneau 010116 by Simone Prouvé, an iconic figure in contemporary textiles, made in Kanekalon on a stainless steel warp, sold for €31,488. Working with architects from the 1960s onwards, Simone Prouvé created monumental panels for public and private spaces, before becoming a pioneer of industrial weaving in the 1990s, pushing back the boundaries of contemporary textiles.
Diego Giacometti (1902-1985)
“Berceau” Table, first version, model created circa 1963
Sold for €393,600
Finally, one of the first versions of Diego Giacometti’s “Berceau” table, produced in just 17 examples, was sold for €393,600. A “Souris” stool by the Swiss artist also changed hands for €183,680.
