Yellow Cell, 2025
Yellow Cell will be released in 20 numbered and signed editions, offering collectors the opportunity to acquire a unique work within an exclusive series. The only existing copy will be presented exclusively at Artcurial alongside the Art Basel Paris fair, from 19th to 25th October.
This creation combines Halley’s iconic Roll-A-Tex texture with his signature fluorescent colors.
The production of the work merges a mechanical process, to reproduce relief and texture, with artisanal techniques, using the pigments and methods characteristic of the artist.
Produced in collaboration with LITO Editions, this project exemplifies a hybrid approach to contemporary art, where the limited edition preserves the unique and experimental nature inherent to Peter Halley.

Peter Halley (born 1953)
Yellow Cell, 2025
Peter Halley, an American artist, has been exploring for over four decades the tensions between architecture, technology, and the social structures that shape our daily lives. Born in New York in 1953, he developed an early fascination with the systems that organize and confine individuals, which he expresses through an immediately recognizable visual vocabulary: vibrant colors, precise geometric forms, and matte or fluorescent textures.
His famous “prison cells” and “conduits,” visual metaphors for isolation and control in modern society, form a language that is both conceptual and profoundly visual. Inspired by urbanism, digital communication, and post-industrial culture, Halley turns painting into a critical mirror of our connected world.
Exhibited in major museums and international institutions, the artist continues today his dialogue between art and theory, continually renewing the visual and intellectual power of his work.
