On the occasion of this auction, the Comic Strips department is happy to offer you offprints (50 copies) along with an ex-libris, numbered and signed by Olivier Ledroit.

Whatever the series or medium— comic books or painting — Olivier Ledroit’s style is always extremely dynamic. His drawings are characterized by a frenetic pace and dazzling colours that impart a unique sensorial flow to each image. His inspiration comes from medieval sources (Chroniques de la Lune Noire, Wika) and a tumultuous fantasy universe (Xoco, Sha, Requiem). He loves to blend supernatural creatures, architectural elements that relate closely to the industrial arts, organic forms, esoteric symbols, and references to classical antiquity. His work embodies a clearly extravagant visual style. He favours a flamboyant aesthetic approach with a marked interest in the unusual—including occasional glimmers of the occult—and even voluptuousness when necessary, for his female characters— fairies, warriors, sultry lady magicians— are all extremely beautiful. His hectic universe leaves readers breathless and makes him one of the greatest authors of his generation.
