In 2019, Banksy is once again creating a buzz by setting up a store in South London's Croydon, in which several of his works are presented, including “Thrower”.This creation represents a figure of a demonstrator throwing a bouquet of flowers like a Molotov cocktail, a striking illustration of one of the most famous and iconic subjects of Banksy's work. This artwork is a universal symbol of peace and love as well as a critique of war and violence, themes that he likes to denounce in contrast.

The “Thrower” also known as “Love in the air” is a subject developed by the artist in the early 2000s. Banksy chooses to give the artwork a lyrical lift by breaking it down into 3 dynamic parts that he stages in these singular frames, which often trigger the success of some of his works.
