Artcurial Motorcars: Auction at the Château de Vernon Automobile Museum

On 28 September 2025, Artcurial Motorcars will present the sale of the automobile collection from the Château de Vernon Museum. Around 50 vehicles from the Jean-Pierre Nylin collection will be offered without reserve, alongside a carefully curated selection of other collector cars.

This unique event, held in the heart of a prestigious historic estate, promises to be a must-attend occasion for all enthusiasts of exceptional automobiles.

At the heart of this remarkable collection is Jean-Pierre Nylin, a passionate enthusiast, particularly of sports cars from the 1950s and 1960s. Over time, he patiently assembled iconic models spanning nearly a century of automotive history—from the 1920s to the late 1990s. The very first car he acquired was a MG, soon followed by a Bentley Type R—two models that already set the tone for a collection defined by elegance and performance. In 2008, the museum opened its doors to the public, with rally driver Ari Vatanen and auctioneer Hervé Poulain in attendance.

The collection reflects a rare diversity: Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Maserati, as well as Facel Vega and Alpine. It spans a wide range of styles and types—from classic sedans to sporty coupés, including roadsters and racing cars. Each vehicle tells a part of automotive history, the evolution of design, technology, and performance over the decades.

For this sale, additional cars from private collections will enhance the catalog, including a 1923 Bentley 3L Tourer and a 1926 Lancia Lambda.
Highlights include a 1921 Delahaye Torpédo, a testament to the early days of modern motoring; a 1958 Facel Vega HK 500, the embodiment of French luxury; a 1963 Maserati 3500 GT Sebring and a 1963 Porsche 356 B Cabriolet, both reflecting European elegance; a 1971 Aston Martin DBS, showcasing refined British style; and a 1997 Chrysler Viper GTS, a powerhouse of raw American muscle.

This event promises to be a must-attend occasion for lovers of fine engineering, automotive design, and motoring history.
