As its certificate of authenticity from Mercedes-Benz confirms, this elegant 250 SE Cabriolet left the factory on 21 July 1966 and was delivered to the Mercedes dealership at Aachen in Germany. Finished in beige with a cognac interior, it was fitted with the optional individual front seats and a Becker Europa radio. In 2009, Guido Hommel bought it to add to his collection of cabriolets. The car subsequently underwent a bodywork restoration and was completely repainted in its current and very attractive colour. The engine is the original matching numbers unit, mated to a four-speed manual gearbox, and the car is in good running order. Behind the wheel, the superb dashboard features a Becker Mexico radio, and the front seats are equipped with headrests and safety belts. The odometer is reading 90,370km and a Tripmaster has been fitted under the dashboard.
