- Restauration superbe par Racing Green Engineering Ltd
- Moteur et couleur Pastel Blue conformes à l'origine
- Amélioration astucieuse, position de conduite, boîte 5 rapports
- Elegance intemporelle

1953 Jaguar XK 120 FHC
Seeking to add a Jaguar XK 120 FHC (Fixed Head Coupé) to his collection, in July 2016 Thierry Dehaeck approached Racing Green Engineering in Wales. The company found this car in the USA: it had left the factory on 2 March 1953 and was delivered new to Charles Hornburg, the Jaguar distributor in Los Angeles.
Still equipped with its original engine, it was shipped to Europe, where it underwent a high-quality restoration, down to the last nut and bolt. Its body was repainted in the original shade of ‘Pastel Blue’, with blue leather upholstery, and Thierry Dehaeck asked for a number of judicious modifications to make the car easier to drive: power-assisted rack and pinion steering, a relocated pedal set, bucket seats adjustable for reach and a five-speed gearbox.
Once the restoration had been completed, the car made its first public appearance at the Techno Classica Essen show in March 2018, where it created a sensation on the Racing Green Engineering stand. Its director, Peris Edwards, then delivered the XK 120 on 16 April to Thierry Dehaeck in Ypres, and he has since taken part in numerous rallies and shows.
The history file accompanying the car includes a Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirming its original specification, a DVD and photographs of the restoration, a rare period brochure for the Jaguar XK 120 Fixed Head Coupe, a FIVA ID card and various other documents.
Rare in this coupé version, this XK 120 – which was displayed at the Antwerp Collection Cars show in March 2025 – should continue to enjoy an illustrious career in rallies and shows with an enthusiastic new driver, who will be happy to own a car in perfect condition, made all the easier to drive by the discreet changes to its equipment.
