- État d'origine absolument exceptionnel

- Mécanique et couleurs d'origine

- Documentation historique exceptionnelle

1969 Jaguar E-Type Series 2

The original condition of this Jaguar E-Type Series 2 is absolutely exceptional: the bodywork, paint, chrome, upholstery, dashboard, engine and transmission are all original and have a charming patina. Nothing appears to have been replaced or restored.

The condition of this E-Type can be explained by its history: it left the factory on 11 March 1969 and was delivered to New York on the 28th of that month, finished in ‘Willow Green’ with ‘Suede Green’ leather upholstery. Displayed in the showroom of Bennett Jaguar, at Allentown (Pennsylvania), it was bought on 12 June 1969 by Joseph Gander, who made little use of the car and took great care of it, even setting aside the original floor mats to preserve them better. The original service book shows that in April 1973, it had covered only 11,081 miles (17,833km). It continued to lead a quiet life in meticulous hands, and when it was sold on 23 March 2013 through Amco Motor Sales in Philadelphia, the odometer was reading only 21,964 miles (35,348km) from new. Bought at the time by Raoul San Giorgi, who lived in Belgium and was a leading connoisseur and member of the jury for the most prestigious concours d’élégance in the world, it was sold in 2017 to Thierry Dehaeck through the specialist Bruno Vendiesse.

The history file for this exceptional car includes many particularly interesting documents, such as its service book, catalogues from the period, owner's manual, warranty and service certificate, a certificate of authenticity from the Jaguar Heritage Trust, a FIVA ID card and a registration certificate dating from Gander’s time with the car.

The original condition of this Series 2 E-Type is of such high quality that the German experts FSP gave it an ‘AAA’ rating (confirming that it was 100% original). In 2017, it won the prize for the best-preserved car at the Waregem concours in Belgium, and it was displayed for three months at the Belgian National Museum Autoworld in Brussels, as part of the 60th anniversary of the E-Type. It also took part in the prestigious Chantilly concours in September 2026. It represents a unique opportunity to get your hands on an E-Type which has remained exactly as it was when it left the factory.
