Ainsi que le mentionne une plaque fixée sur la planche de bord, cette élégante berline fut la propriété d’un certain R. de Testa qui habitait à Paris. Il s’agissait à l’évidence d’un homme de goût au regard du raffinement mécanique du châssis B3-6 dont le brillant 6 cylindres permettait des performances de premier ordre à cette époque, d’autant plus que sa carrosserie de berline, selon le procédé Weymann inspiré de l’aviation, lui assurait une légèreté incomparable. Elle était exposée au musée de Reims lorsqu’elle fut vendue en 1993 par Philippe Charbonneaux à notre collectionneur. Dans un état de conservation remarquable, elle a bénéficié d’une réfection de son moteur d’origine en 1994, puis n’a ensuite parcouru que les 150 km du Rallye inaugural du Club Lorraine Dietrich en Juillet 1995. Elle n'a pas roulé depuis. Elle a ensuite été exposée en 2008 au Parc de Saint Cloud avec 17 autres Lorraine puis en 2018 lors de la rétrospective Lorraine Dietrich avec 27 de ses sœurs lors du 1er Salon Auto-moto de Metz. On ne peut qu’admirer la qualité de construction de cette opulente berline qui ne demande que peu de choses pour reprendre la route.

As is noted on a plate on the dashboard, this elegant saloon belonged to a certain R. de Testa in Paris. He was evidently a man of taste, judging by the mechanical refinement of the B3-6, whose outstanding six-cylinder engine delivered first-rate performance for its time, especially as its saloon bodywork, using the Weymann method inspired by aviation, was unrivalled for its lightness. It was on display at the museum in Reims when it was sold by Philippe Charbonneaux to our client in 1993. In remarkably well-preserved condition, its original engine was rebuilt in 1994, and since then it has covered only 150km for the inaugural rally of the Lorraine-Dietrich Club in July 1995. It hasn't bee driven since then. It was later exhibited at the Parc de Saint-Cloud together with 17 other Lorraines in 2008, and then – with 27 of its sister cars – for the Lorraine-Dietrich retrospective at the first Salon Auto-moto in Metz in 2018. One cannot fail to admire the quality of construction of this luxurious saloon, which needs only a few things doing before taking to the road again.
