Immatriculée le 26 mai 1939, cette somptueuse Dynamic est un type X81 et reçoit, à ce titre, un 6 cylindres sans soupapes dit « 140 » de 2.8L, qui constituait la motorisation de milieu de gamme. Acquise par un résident monégasque en 1991, la voiture avait fait l’objet d’un essai pour « Auto Retro » en juillet 1990, puis avait été exposée au Musée National de l’Automobile de Mulhouse pour l’exposition « 1891, l’an 1 de l’Industrie Automobile ». Achetée en 1996 lors d’une vente aux enchères organisée par Me Poulain, elle était alors parfaitement roulante, avec simplement un peu de jeu dans la direction et une seconde vitesse qui sautait. La carrosserie a été repeinte, tandis que la sellerie est d’origine. Le moteur n’est pas bloqué mais devra être remis en route avec précaution. Nous avons noté une trace d’accrochage à l’avant gauche qui explique l’absence d’un phare et de sa grille. Modèle véritablement digne d’intérêt et recherché pour son originalité technique et esthétique, cette Dynamic mérite l’intérêt des connaisseurs.

Nous informons les acheteurs que l’ensemble des véhicules de la collection ont été peu utilisés ces dernières années, s’agissant d’une collection muséale. Ils sont donc vendus en l’état, à redémarrer, sans contrôle technique et devront bénéficier d’une révision générale avant de prendre la route.

First registered on 26 May 1939, this magnificent Dynamic is a type X81 fitted with a 2.8-litre valveless six known as the ‘140’, the mid-range engine. Acquired by a resident of Monaco in 1991, the car had been tested by the magazine Auto Retro in July 1990 and then displayed at the Musée National de l’Automobile in Mulhouse in the exhibition ‘1891, Year 1 of the Automotive Industry’. When it was bought in 1996 at an auction run by Me Poulain, it was in good running order, the steering was slightly loose and second jumping out of gear. The body has been repainted, while the upholstery is original. The engine isn’t seized, but should be restarted with care. We noticed signs of collision damage to the front left, which would explain why one headlamp and grille are missing. A genuinely interesting model which is sought after on account of its novel engineering and appearance, this Dynamic is worthy of consideration by connoisseurs.

 

Buyers are informed that all vehicles in the collection have seen limited use in recent years, having been part of a museum display. They are therefore sold as-is, require restarting, are not covered by a valid roadworthiness inspection, and will need full recommissioning before being driven on public roads.
