Sorti d’usine en mars 1987 puis immatriculé neuf le 17 août suivant en Pennsylvanie, ainsi que le confirme son Carfax, cet élégant cabriolet dispose d’une combinaison de couleurs du plus bel effet : « Bleu diamant métallisé » pour la carrosserie, associé à un intérieur cuir bleu nuit, moquettes et capote (manuelle) assorties. Il dispose de la désirable boîte de vitesses G50 et de la climatisation. Demeuré dans son pays d’origine jusqu’en 2009 alors qu’il affichait 69 348 miles, il a ensuite transité par Rhode Island puis la Floride avant d’être importé en Allemagne en 2015. Nous avons noté que la frappe à froid commençait par WP0ZZZ et non par WP0EB comme mentionné sur l’étiquette constructeur et le titre de circulation. Il a rejoint la collection de Guido Hommel l’année suivante. La voiture est en bon état d’usage, sa carrosserie a été repeinte, tandis que la sellerie en cuir est en bon état. Au tableau de bord, le compteur d’origine a été remplacé par un élément gradué en kilomètres ; il jouxte un autoradio CD Blaupunkt moderne. Accompagné d’un dossier de factures américaines et d’une expertise datant de mars 2024, cette intéressante Porsche a bénéficié d’un entretien réalisé en interne par le mécanicien de la collection. Elle est en bon état de fonctionnement, accompagnée de sa trousse à outils et promet de nombreux kilomètres à bord d’un modèle dont on ne présente plus les qualités de fiabilité et d’agrément de conduite.

1987 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Cabriolet

This elegant convertible left the factory in March 1987 and was first registered on 17 August that year in Pennsylvania, as its Carfax report confirms. It features a very attractive combination of colours, with ‘Diamond blue metallic’ paintwork and a dark blue leather interior, with matching carpets and (manually-operated) hood. It is fitted with the desirable G50 gearbox and air-conditioning. It remained in its original country until 2009, when the odometer was reading 69,348 miles, and then moved on to Rhode Island and Florida before it was imported into Germany in 2015. We noted that the serial number stamped began with WP0ZZZ and not with WP0EB, as indicated on the manufacturer's sticker and the registration certificate. It joined Guido Hommel’s collection the following year. The car is in good used condition: the body has been repainted and the leather upholstery is in good condition. On the dash, the original speedometer has been replaced by one reading in kilometres; next to it is a modern Blaupunkt radio/CD player. This interesting Porsche comes with a file of American bills and a valuation report from March 2024; it has been serviced in-house by the collection's own mechanic. In good running order and supplied with its toolkit, it promises many miles behind the wheel of a model whose qualities of reliability and driving pleasure need no further introduction.
